Batavia City School District: 2025 Summer Meal Program

The Batavia City School District is offering two summer meal options at no cost to all children and teens 18 and under. See below for program details and frequently asked questions.
🍎 Option 1: Daily Meal Sites (Monday–Friday)
No registration required. Meals must be eaten on site.

- Austin Park – Lunch: 11:00 am–12:00 pm
- Batavia Middle School – Breakfast: 8:00–8:30 am | Lunch: 11:00 am–12:00 pm
- Jackson Primary – Breakfast: 8:00–9:00 am | Lunch: 11:00 am–12:00 pm (Monday through Thursday Only)
- John Kennedy Park – Breakfast: 9:00–9:45 am | Lunch: 11:15 am–12:30 pm
- John Kennedy School – Breakfast: 8:00–9:00 am | Lunch: 11:00 am–12:00 pm
- Lambert Park – Lunch: 11:15 am–12:30 pm
- Robert Morris – Breakfast: 8:30–9:00 am
- Williams Park – Lunch: 11:15 am–12:30 pm

🙋♀️ FAQs – Daily Meal Sites
Who is eligible?
All children and teens 18 and under.
Do I need to register?
No. Just show up at one of the participating sites. You do not have to provide proof of income, residency, or citizenship.
Do daily meals need to be eaten on-site?
Yes. Due to federal regulations, all meals must be consumed on-site. Children can take one item, a fruit, a vegetable, or a pre-wrapped, non-perishable item from their meal off-site to eat later.
Can a parent pick up daily meals for their child?
No. Children must be present and eat their meals on site.
Looking for daily meals and fun summer programming?
Families may also register their children for the Genesee County YMCA Batavia Summer Rec Program, which includes:
- Breakfast at John Kennedy Park
- Lunch at Lambert Park, John Kennedy School, and Williams Park
- Supervised activities for children who have completed kindergarten through age 14
🥪 Option 2: Weekend Meal Kits (Fridays only) - Registration Required
Starting Friday, July 11, through Friday, August 15, families may pick up 3-day meal kits at no cost for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Each kit includes breakfast and lunch for all three days.

- Pickup Time: Fridays, 10:45 am–12:00 pm
- Pickup Dates: July 11, 18, 25 and August 1, 8, 15

Who is eligible?
All children and teens 18 and under. You do not have to provide proof of income, residency, or citizenship.
Do I need to register?
Yes. Registration is required once, either in advance or on-site at your first pickup. The Google Form must be submitted by Thursday for Friday pickup.
Can parents pick up the meals?
Yes. A parent or guardian may pick up on behalf of their children after they are fully registered. Please bring your ID and the children with you on your first visit.
Do the meals need to be eaten on site?
No. These kits are meant to be taken home and stored in your refrigerator or freezer.
Can I also get meals at a daily site on the same Friday?
No. Children who receive a Friday meal kit cannot also receive meals at another site the same day.

What types of food are included?
Meals follow USDA nutritional guidelines. Breakfasts include milk, fruit or vegetable, and a grain. Lunches include milk, a protein, grain, and two fruits or vegetables.
Is there a cost?
No. All summer meals are provided at no cost for children and teens 18 and under.
How is this program funded?
The Batavia City School District receives funding for each qualifying meal served to children through New York State Department of Education Child Nutrition, which receives funding for summer meal programs directly from the USDA.
