John Marucci John Marucci

John Marucci, has been a resident of Batavia since July of 2014. He’s had 3 children graduate from

BHS & he has a son that will be graduating from BHS in 2025. He has served on the Batavia

Bulldawgs Board & also as a Coach for 7 years. He is a recipient of The Jim Ellegate Memorial Award

by The Niagara / Orleans Football Association for “The Love  of the Game & More Importantly The

Love of Children”. In addition, he previously served as the Head Coach for the BCSD Modified

Wrestling Team & also assisted in Coaching the Batavia Little Devils Youth Wrestling Club. 

Citing his reasons for seeking election & re-election were, “I want to continue my service to the youth

of Batavia & I feel we still have some unfinished business that I hope we can accomplish in the future."

He is currently employed as a Customer Service Rep with OrCon Industries in LeRoy, NY.

John Reigle

Mr. Reigle, a lifelong Batavia resident and BHS alumnus, earned a football scholarship to

South Dakota Tech where he studied business. He now works at Applied Business

Systems in Batavia. He has two children who graduated from Batavia High in 2020 and

2021, and another attending Batavia Middle School. Active in local youth sports, he co-

founded and leads the Batavia Bulldawgs Youth Football and Cheer program. As a Board

of Education member for BCSD, he is enthusiastic about using his deep community ties

to enhance both academic and extracurricular programs, including athletics, arts, and

music. He is committed to contributing to the district’s ongoing success and is proud to

serve his community.

Alice Ann Benedict

Alice Ann Benedict returned to the Board of Education in 2020, having previously served from 1995-

2006. Throughout her tenure on the BOE, she has served five years as president.

A long-time homemaker and retired paralegal, Mrs. Benedict has strong ties to the Batavia City

School District. Both she and her husband Wayne graduated from BHS, as did her three children.

Now, both of her granddaughters are students in the district. Among her extended family, many are

alumni, and some are currently enrolled throughout the district. Mrs. Benedict is also a graduate with

honors from Genesee Community College.

“I'm very invested in the education and safety of the students of Batavia. BCSD is near and dear to my

heart, and I’d like to see it continue to improve. It would be an honor to continue working for and

supporting our students, staff, and Batavia community."

Barbara Bowman

Barbara Bowman has been a resident of Batavia for over 35 years and with seven grandchildren all in

Batavia schools, she has a strong interest in and passion for the Batavia City School District.

“My innate ability to see the good, the best, in people, I believe, is where my strongest skill as a board

member lies. I am a people person and I love working with all the individuals involved in our schools to

help bring out the very best in each of them. I love our community, and I believe my education and

experience as a social worker contribute positively to the growth and productivity our schools offer

Batavia on a regular basis. “

I have been extremely energized as I work on a number of school projects including The Dignity

Matters Task Force at BMS.

Our students have so much potential and as our district becomes stronger, I look forward to being an

active, vocal part of its growth and its accomplishments."

J. Lendvay

Jennifer Lendvay

Mrs. Lendvay, a Licensed Practical Nurse with a Bachelor’s in English from the University

of Charleston and a Batavia Class of 1997 alumna, has two children in our district.

On the board, she advocates for maintaining a clear and objective perspective by ensuring board

members are independent of faculty or staff connections. She champions revisiting

established practices, exploring innovative approaches, and valuing the input of faculty

and staff regarding their concerns. Her commitment as a Board of Education member is

to act as an independent voice, focusing on strategic resource allocation and addressing

the principal concerns of administrators, staff, parents, and taxpayers.

RolleChezeray Rolle

Mr. Rolle was born and raised in Batavia and graduated from Batavia High School in 2009. After high

school, he enlisted in the United States Army, but continued his high school passions for football,

wrestling, basketball, track and field. During his six-year enlistment in the Army he had the pleasure of

being stationed in Germany and El Paso, Texas.  During those six years serving our country he was

deployed twice to Afghanistan. 

In 2012, he met and married his beautiful wife, Bianca. They have three children, two boys and one

girl, all attending Batavia City Schools. Mr. Rolle is employed as a Detention Officer at the Buffalo

Federal Detention Facility and is a football coach for Batavia Bulldawgs.  In his spare time he enjoys

cooking and barbequing for family and friends.  He is looking forward to the opportunity to learn and

to serve our community as a Board of Education member.  

Anderson

Korinne Anderson

Mrs. Anderson, a health and wellness coach with a biology degree from Elmira College,

has been active in BCSD for two decades. A LeRoy High School alumna and mother of

three BCSD students, she actively participated in parent groups during her children's

early education years. Inspired by her father's 20-year tenure as a local school board

member, she's eager to continue her time on the board. Her parenting experience offers

her a unique perspective on the educational system. Now, she sees her school board

involvement as a chance to both learn more and enhance community understanding of

the board’s role.
