Early morning snow closings are dictated by weather bulletins out of Buffalo, reports from the Highway and Sheriff’s Departments, reported conditions of City sidewalks, and actual road observations done by STA (Student Transportation of America). When there is a warning, we begin this process before 5 A.M. A decision to close schools will be made timely. Surprise storms compress the stress of time.

Emergency School Closing Information

For emergency school closings, delays, and early release announcements, please ensure we have up-to-date contact information to receive these alerts via ParentSquare, email, and text.  Please contact your child’s main office to assist with any updates.

Q: How do student meals work in the event of a one or two-hour delay? 

A: In the event of a one-hour delay, breakfast will still be served. The menu for that meal will most likely be simplified. 

In the event of a two-hour delay, breakfast will not be served, and our Nutritional Services team will provide lunch.
